On June 5, Sunsets at Stonecliffe features Rachael Davis who will entertain with special guest Dominic Davis.
Music starts at 6pm and ends at 9pm….
In the time of her 10 year solo career Rachael has released 4 albums including one collaboration with the Lansing, Michigan based American-roots band Steppin’ In It and one live record with long-time musical partner Brett Hartenbach [Daniel Johnston] that came out of a live radio show recorded in Breman, Germany in May of 2004.
Davis has lent her voice to countless other recordings including tracks for film, television and guest vocals on other records.

Step inside Baroque, an elegant bar located in the Parlor of Grand Hotel, is a tribute to the legendary interior designer dorothydraperco and her signature Modern Baroque style. Designed by Dorothy Draper & Company, the space evokes old New York elegance with its rich palette of emerald greens, deep reds, black, gold, and intricate lattice work. As Dorothy Draper & Co. celebrates their 100th Anniversary in 2025, Grand Hotel has reimagined the former Audubon Bar into Baroque, a refreshed space marking the first transformation of this venue since our design partnership began in 1979. The revitalized bar is a commemorative space honoring Draper’s enduring design legacy, and bringing opulence and history together in a truly timeless setting. It will continue to showcase deep reds, emeralds, and gold. The room was painted by DiblasiPainting of New York. It took them five weeks to complete the work including sanding, five coats of primer, two coats of the deep dark green, and two coats of a high gloss finish. The room’s wooden floor-to-ceiling bookshelves have been painted a shiny, almost reflective, deep green. It is a natural limestone arch formed during Nipissing post_glacial period. To this day Arch Rock stands on the Lake Huron shoreline 146 ft ( 45m ) above the water. My inspiration for this post is thurro_alexander. Hope you like it Alex, it’s not as dramatic as yours!

Welcome to the Main Dining Room, where every meal is a special occasion Our Main Dining Room has undergone a graceful transformation in celebration of dorothydraperco's 100th Anniversary. Blending timeless charm with a renewed vibrancy. The space now features pastel yellow walls, fresh new window coverings highlighting tulips found on Mackinac Island, newly reupholstered chairs that retain their classic green hue, enhanced with delicate tulip motifs. The carpet has also been updated, featuring elegant floral arrangements of tulips both at the entrance and bursting across the entire floor of the Pontiac Room.
Guests and visitors can look forward to experiencing celebration as they savor a daily highlight in Grand Hotel’s Main Dining Room during breakfast, Grand Luncheon Experience, and our elegant five-course dinner.
