Feast your eyes on the Falmouth Braised Short Rib. Braised for five hours in burgundy red wine with vegetables and served with coconut curry polenta and fried plantains.

A tale of the Ojibwe of Mackinac Island: Every day, as Mist Woman tended to her daily tasks, the young men of the tribe would pass by, captivated by her beauty. Despite their attention, she remained focused on her work, too occupied to entertain admirers. However, her demeanor suddenly changed, and she became melancholic, disregarding her chores. Concerned for her future, Mist Woman's father, the chief, questioned her coldness towards potential suitors. After a long silence, she revealed encountering a handsome stranger who claimed to be a Sky Person, son of a chief, and expressed her desire to marry him and to join him in the sky realm. Mist Woman's father, enraged, took her to Turtle Spirits Island, commanding her to remain until she reconsidered.
