Every wedding has a story right? And this one is no different... First before I get into that.. I HAD to do this entire post in Black and White because it just seemed to fit the elegance of the Erin and Jesse and the classical style of the Inn at Stonecliffe so much ... let me know what you think in the comments So the story, this wedding was 100% not for them. These two were already married back home where they live in Colorado (and are basically professinal dancers... if image #5 doesn't tell you that). This wedding was for their family. And everyone was okay with it. One thing to think about when you decide to elope is that your family might be hurt... so in this case they decided to throw a party for the couple on Mackinac Island. One of their favorite places on earth. And it was great .. think about Erin and Jesse just had to show up to their own "wedding" no decision making not planning no stress!! Stonecliffe was the perfect location on Mackinac Island.. away from it all without the hustle and bustle of main street. A place where they could still feel the calm and serenity of their original elopement. PS... can we just check out the first photo a little closer. Ever thought about capturing a candid portrait session just before your rehearsal dinner or welcome party? Couple Highlight: (ie: why I love my brides and grooms) Amanda & Ajay Ohhhh these two! 😍 Can't you just tell from this photo how much fun they are. They are so much fun that the night before the wedding Ajay was out hnaging with a bunch of carriage drivers fell and scraped his face... did Amanda care... nope she just laughed and loved how open Ajay always is to meeting new people. I’m photographing my first wedding at “the new” Inn at Stonecliffe this weekend and I’m so excited! After being closed for 2 seasons and under going a huge gorgeous renovation I’m so excited to be back behind the lens to capture one of my favorite venues in the world.
