Get ready for another epic, fun-filled Halloween celebration this Saturday, October 26, 2019, on Mackinac Island. Enjoy all of the Halloween decorations throughout the island. Dress the kids up in their favorite costumes and take them downtown for trick-or-treating from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday. And then put on your favorite costume for some adult Halloween fun Saturday night at the Pink Pony and other bars and restaurants on the island. Somewhere in Time | A Place Between Then & Now
There are places on Mackinac Island where it’s easy to imagine another time.
And then there are places where you know another time really did happen.
This sound stage was where much of the interior magic of Somewhere in Time came to life. Costumes, cameras, actors, and a love story that would make an entire generation believe that maybe, just maybe, you really can find your way back to someone.
Decades later, the movie is still here. In the places we recognize. In the stories we tell.
Maybe that’s the magic of Somewhere in Time. Maybe it’s the magic of Mackinac.
Or maybe we just like to believe in both.
