Is the lunch buffet available at this time? Headed to the island in August and was hoping to bring our group for lunch as we’ve never been to the Grand Hotel

We stayed at the Grand over the 4th holiday and felt everyone did an amazing job. Masks were being worn by all staff and by nearly all guests. Common touch points were being cleaned consistently and there was plenty of space to social distance. It was a great weekend getaway and felt special as always just with a bit more attention to give the awareness you would expect

Hi Pete!!! Awesome job on the video!! You are very professional and very eloquent!! Next stop - Hollywood!!

Thank you for this info. I was going e-mail you about this since my husband and I are coming on August 4 for our stay.

My husband and i have been staying at Grand Hotel every year for the last 17 years! It is truly a magical place. We have not made a final decision about this year as we always visit in September and I am asthmatic which makes me highly susceptible to COVID. A couple of observations from this video -- I saw no rocking chairs on the front porch, have they been removed? I also saw in the video a table set for dinner that looks like it was placed on the front porch -- is that an option? Also, Mr. Badour, a medical safe suggestion -- please review the proper way to remove a mask, which is from the two ear loops so you do not touch the front of the mask which may be contaminated. We have talked to Jerry T. by phone and believe that he gave us a comprehensive overview of safety precautions and will be be reaching out in mid-August. Have a safe summer!

Hi Peter-great video. Missed you and the Grand this year. Stay safe my friend.

It’s so good to see and hear from Peter Badour. Surely look forward to seeing you all in 2021, if not before.

first summer in 17 years hubby and i will not be there in our fav suite and view and golf and woods table. heartbroken

Hoping for two Grand Hotel labelled masks in our room.

This is a short video... that informs guess of the Grand Hotel. I am thankful I have seen this video... For I have a son that is autistic and does not like anything around his nose or mouth... Since they shut everything down in Grand Traverse County due to covid-19 I've kept him out of the public. Even now I only go out for groceries and things I have to do I also stay out of the public. Thank everyone at the Grand Hotel for doing a great job!!! Mackinac Island is a magical place. Throughout my life I've always told everyone my heart is on Mackinaw island... you may have to leave Mackinac Island from time to time but Mackinac Island will always stay in a person's heart... once they've been there

Are the chairs still out on the porch to sit on

The dress code is part of what makes it grand ❀️

Looking forward to our visit in August for our 30th wedding anniversary.

Last year, this Pete guy manager dismissed our concerns that we brought forward and didn’t address them at all. Don’t respect this guy in the least. Was trying to make memories for my family just like my parents did for me and he dismissed them and didn’t even care for what I had brought forward and how rudely one of your employees treated us during one of the evenings.

We will be there in 2 weeks! Can’t wait! #thedoctorsgrandwedding

I saw no rocking chairs on the front porch 🀷‍♀️

If someone does not have a mask on because they can't wear them for medical reasons what is your procedure toward them? Will they be asked about it all the time? Will they be permitted in the dining room, etc?

I look forward to coming in October

Maybe you should relax the dress code for the year as well...

Do you have any outdoor dining options?

Thank You 😊 πŸ₯°

Comment on Facebook Good morning from ...

I loved our stay at the Grand Hotel....twice.....and hopefully again next year...,

We were given this room for our anniversary celebration with our children a couple of years ago. It was breathtaking. We cherish that trip and hope to return soon. ❀️

Been there twice... once for Somewhere in Time Weekend! Wonderful hotel, rooms, dining area, porch..beautiful place to spend time❀️❀️❀️

We have been blessed to stay in a couple of beautiful suites but the joke in our household is: “as long Mom is there She would be happy if She had to sleep in the janitors closet. “ 😁 (That’s how much I love the Grand Hotel) ❀️

I would Love to STAY in this gorgeous suite next time I stay at the Grand. Maybe with Knights of Columbus May 2021

I visited every summer since 1998. Missed being there this June. We will try to be there in the fall. Miss the hotel and your great staff.

Absolutely love this place. My niece was married on the porch and a year ago they hosted a 10 year anniversary party at the Grand. We all stayed at The Grand and were able to enjoy all the beauty it offers. The staff is wonderful and you are treated like royalty. ❀️

The last trip my husband made was to the Grand Hotel, an item on his bucket list and to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We loved our stay and I will always cherish the memory. #GrandHotelbestplaceever

Ooohhh pretty! I hope we get a room like this for our very first trip to the island this weekend!!πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Gorgeous! Of all the beautiful rooms at Grand Hotel that I have had the good fortune to stay in, I think Summer Place is my favorite. But this Lilac Suite looks like one I will have to try!

I was fortunate enough to stay in this suite - a fantastic memory!

Just stunning πŸ’œlove the two chairs and the water view to die for. Breathtaking. I would turn those chairs around so when I sat down I saw the view of the water.

Beautiful! I hope to stay there, I would be happy in any room!!

Love the purple (edit...lilac) carpet in your room!

Reservations made for the lovely Lilac Suite in August!! Can’t wait. 😊

Will be there in 14 days for my daughter's wedding. Jeff Fobear and Cheryl Yob, I am so excited! Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Fobear! And I won't forget Jeff's sweet son, Jace!

Sure wish I was waking up there. Beautiful!

Yeah, you can put me in that suite when I get up there in September! Those are my favorite colors!!

Every room is individual and a treat to behold...

This would be amazing ....πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Gorgeous place to stay. We stayed there last year and absolutely loved it!

When are the Lilacs in full bloom there?

Liz, We should book one of these suites when we go !!

Purple is my FAVORITE

Couldn't stay in this purple room.. I'd get sick!!

Happy 4th July! Happy Independence Day. We travelled from the UK via New York and Detroit to spend our Honeymoon at The Grand Hotel in September 2019, a total of 7000 miles for the most amazing experience. Enjoy and wish we could be there with you x

The pool is now open and we are ready to dive into summer! What is your poolside plan: soaking in the sun or splashing in the deep end?

Comment on Facebook The pool is now open...

Love this hotel, so wish I could visit again this year!

I can see why trees where cut down. I'd want sun in the pool, not shade.

So I’m assuming the dancing in the ballroom is a no go this year? We will be there next week and that is one of our favorite things to do with the kids! But completely understand if not!

I remember that water was always freezing cold

I remember the "high dive" that used be at top of and between the twin stairs right there in the photo. It was awesome, cannonball city!

I liked the tree.

Pool is huge.

So sad . . . There last week as the pool was being filled. They cut down all the surrounding beautiful trees. Must be in the plan for the “new” design? Rumor is they will be removing original pool for new and improved?

I wish they’d let people swim there this year that don’t have a room at the grand like they’ve done in the past 😒

Bring back the Worm πŸ˜‰

Can’t wait! I’ll be there in August!

We’ll be there Sunday! Can hardly wait.

First ones in the pool 2020 ahhhhhhh!! Grand Hotel grand pecan ball mania continues

We loved Mackinac island when we visited

Esther Williams swam here

Is the pool open for non guest this season?

Where is this located please?

Been there so many times. My favorite place to be.

Gorgeous!!! Grand Hotel my favorite place to go❀

This is such a gorgeous picture to look at it as I'm recovering from surgery this morning!

Love that polo. Such good memories.

Kelton 😍 So excited!

I never knew there was a pool !

The GRANDEST pool in the entire world!!!!

Staying home and not getting COVID.
