The Grand Opening for Grand Hotel for the 2019 season was last weekend. -- Grand Hotel is situated on the southwestern bluff of Mackinac Island overlooking the Straits of Mackinac and – in the distance – the Mackinac Bridge. The Chippewa Hotel is OPENED for the 2019 SEASON last weekend. - The Chippewa Hotel is located at the east end of downtown at the foot of the bluff where Fort Mackinac stands guard on the island.
