Outdoor and winter fun enthusiasts get ready: Mackinac Island Turtle Trek is here! (There will be 1 more…)
What: A lantern-lit ski and snowshoeing trek through some of Mackinac Island’s natural winter wonderland. (If you can’t ski the trail, come and hike it!)
Where: The Trek begins/ends at Greaney Grove
(corner of Arch Rock Road and Huron Road) with a bonfire and hot chocolate. Across the road, the trail is groomed, track set, lit by lanterns and is approximately two miles long. It follows sections of Arch Rock Bicycle Trail, Sugar Loaf Road, and North Bicycle Trail.
Who: Everyone is invited. This is a free event sponsored by Mackinac State Historic Parks, Mackinac Island Community Foundation and the Mackinac Island Ski Club.
