The Mackinac Island Lilac Festival is a 10-day celebration, June 5 through 14, 2026.

It’s the first and largest summer event on the Island, attracting thousands of visitors. Festivities for the 2026 Mackinac Island Lilac Festival include the coronation of the Lilac Festival Queen and Court, Lilac Festival 10K Run/Walk, horse drawn carriage tours, the Lilac Festival Grand Parade and much more.

Mackinac Island Halloween Celebrations – October 27, 2018

Get ready for another epic, fun-filled Halloween celebration this Saturday, October 27, 2018, on Mackinac Island. Enjoy all of the Halloween decorations throughout the island. Dress the kids up in their favorite costumes and take them downtown for trick-or-treating from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday. And then put on your favorite costume for some adult Halloween fun Saturday night at the Pink Pony and other bars and restaurants on the island. Mackinac Island Great Turtle Trail Run – Photos

This year marks the 23rd running of one of the most scenic trail events in the state. We have a capacity of 3,000 participants running and walking the inside trails of Mackinac Island during the last open weekend of the season.

Another #halfmarathon in the books! Also one more state checked off my #50by50! This race was no joke... LOTS of hills and the weather wasn’t great. Although it was the hardest race I’ve ran, both physically and mentally, it sure was pretty. Now I am suffering the pain of running and then riding in a car for 10+ hrs to get home yesterday! My feet were swollen! 😳 I haven’t been following a meal plan other than the #seefooddiet and my training really slipped off this month, but I am still proud of this race. On to #newgoals... more to come later on that! #greatturtlerace #runmackinac #getitgirl #brooksendorsed #ghostlifestyle #mackinacisland #brr #ketorunner #tomtomrunner #nikeplus #nothinggonnastopme

About Elizabeth Schweitzer, Master Sommelier at Grand Hotel
The eighth woman Sommelier in the world, Elizabeth enjoys sharing her vast knowledge every season with our guests during this special themed weekend. You can also find her in our Main Dining Room helping you choose the perfect wine with your meal.

Grand Hotel’s Salle à Manger was recently awarded an Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for the third consecutive year. It recognizes Grand Hotel’s well-chosen assortment of quality wines that will satisfy discerning wine lovers.
