Our next featured lodging photo album highlights the Metivier Inn, a historic Bed and Breakfast located on Market Street. The Metivier Inn offers 22 guest rooms tastefully decorated in a blend of English and French country style. In the morning guests are treated to a gourmet continental breakfast buffet. The spacious front porch is perfect for people watching. I wish I could afford to go back there. Better yet, I wish I could afford to move back or take a month or two to go back and drive around to the beautiful state of Pure Michigan. My birth state. There's a lot of places in Michigan i never been to I would love to visit. It's on my bucket list.

On the first days of summer we’d like to present our latest featured lodging photo album – the Island House Hotel. The 2014 Mackinac Island Lilac Festival starts on Friday, June 6, and goes through June 15. Some early lilacs are blooming, but look for the majority to blossom starting next week. In the meantime, here’s a view of some of the early summer flowers adding their color and beauty to June on Mackinac Island.
