An American Picnic at Fort Mackinac – July 4, 2019 (Cancelled for 2020)

Checkered red and white tablecloths spread on the grass of Fort Mackinac’s parade grounds create a patchwork quilt welcoming hungry patriots with Grand Hotel’s all-you-can-eat tangy BBQ baby back ribs, grilled chicken breasts, hamburgers, hot dogs, turkey burgers, corn on the cob, and a slew of salads, fixings and desserts. Stay for the fireworks!

Advance tickets will go on sale in June and will be available at Grand Hotel, Fort Mackinac, and Mackinac Island State Park Visitors Center. Ticket includes fort admission.

Grand Hotel – Golf Packages

The Jewel is comprised of the Grand nine, across the street from the hotel; and the Woods nine, set in the interior of Mackinac Island. The Jewel features scenic beauty, lush landscaping and meticulously manicured tees, fairways and greens.

The Grand nine was built in 1901 and redesigned in 1987. The Woods nine, added in 1994, was designed by golf course architect Jerry Matthews. Transportation between the Grand nine and Woods nine is by specially designed horse-drawn carriage. Clubs are available for rental. Golf carts and pull carts are available. Package Includes:

Accommodations for two nights

$25.00 daily food & beverage credit per adult and teen age 13-17 to be used at any Mission Point restaurant
- Kids’ meal benefits are available exclusively at Round Island Kitchen for guests actively checked in to the resort. Children 4 and under receive one complimentary kids’ meal per child (up to two per adult entrée). Children ages 5 – 12 receive 50% off one kids’ meal per child (also up to two per adult entrée). Each kids’ meal includes one beverage. All qualifying meals must be charged to the guest room to receive these benefits

One round of golf at Wawashkamo Golf Club with rental clubs, carts and round trip taxi

Are you a golf lover? Lakebluff Condos Guests staying at Oakwood who love to golf enjoy the Grand Hotel’s front and back nine hole golf courses. The Grand Hotel’s Jewel is the front nine which is located adjacent to the hotel with views of the Harbor, the Fort, and the East Bluff and town. The Grand’s Woods golf course is the back nine which is tucked away on the top of the Island on Stonecliffe Estates. Transportation between both nine hole golf courses is provided by the Grand Hotel’s horse drawn carriage. Lakebluff Condos at Oakwood is walking distance to the Woods back nine hole course.

The scenic setting of the fairways and the surrounding panoramic views of the Straits and Mackinac Bridge might distract you from your golf game, but what a distraction!
